Pedro De Armas
Publisher / Editor in Chief
As a founder and Editor of El Informador Newspaper he oversees the entire operation of the print and online publication since 2008. El Informador Newspaper is focused on local, national and international news for the Latino community living along the coast of South Carolina. Pedro has been covering local news in the Lowcountry region for over 14 years. Pedro has offered countless community resources through his reports and coverage. More recently, in 2020 during the protests for the death of George Floyd, Pedro was the only Spanish-speaking journalist who reported and broadcasted live the peaceful protest and the violent riots later that night in downtown Charleston. He worked diligently with South Carolina DHEC to keep the Spanish speaking community up to date with the advances of COVID19, testing locations and vaccination centers. His dedication to our coastal Latino communities is evident in his journalistic vigor and overall dedication to complete and true reports.
